Obsidian ("we", "our", or "us") is built by Atlas Lead Group. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Obsidian app.

We built Obsidian with privacy in mind. We collect as little data as possible and never sell your information to third parties.

Information We Collect

Obsidian collects minimal information to provide its service:

• Questionnaire responses — your answers to the 7 personality questions, used solely to generate your archetype reading via AI.
• Usage data — anonymous data about how you use the app (streaks, XP, level), stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.
• Purchase information — processed entirely by Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.

How We Use Your Information

• To generate your AI-powered personality reading
• To provide your daily coaching messages and growth tracking
• To process and verify your in-app purchases
• To improve the accuracy and quality of our archetype system

AI Processing

Your questionnaire answers are sent to our AI system (powered by Anthropic's Claude) via Supabase Edge Functions to generate your reading. Your responses are processed to produce your result and are not stored long-term or used to train AI models.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Data Storage

Your growth data (XP, streaks, level, daily check-ins) is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. If you delete the app, this data is permanently removed.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide our service.

Children's Privacy

Obsidian is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of any data associated with your use of the app
• Opt out of any future communications
• Contact us with any privacy-related questions

Since most data is stored locally on your device, you can delete your data at any time by uninstalling the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
